I wrote this in my poetry class (yay poetry!), and I kind of like it which is an improvement over my usual feelings towards my poetry.
M-16's
Nobody asks enough about death
most are too afraid that it
is final.
And that Arcadia
is only a bedtime story.
But I've always wanted more
More noise, more silence
More talking about death
More postulation on what happens when you close
your eyes.
What the world wants, I do not
And all this talk of love
Should just be talks of death
Because to love is to die.
And what the world wants, I do not.
yet all I see when I look in the mirror
is a bright blue sky, filled with M-16's
Nobody asks enough about death
because to love is to die, and to love
is to be afraid and to not is to be alone
the way someone can make you feel like
a deserted island
And to love is to die
And no one wants to talk about death.
